Summer will be here sooner than we all think, and I don’t know about you, but I can almost smell the bacon (among other delicious treats). There are so many freaking music festivals (no shade) happening, that we can easily forget the most important thing in life: food.

Here are 4 delicious food festivals happening in Quebec this summer so you can get out of the city on a road trip with your best buds, and enjoy some mouth-watering- and potentially a little wacky- foods.

Drummondville Poutine Festival (Aug 26-27)

Is there anything more Québécois than a tribute to poutine? I think not. In addition to everyone's favorite dish, there is music and other great entertainent to be found at this food fest.

Québec Festibière (Aug 17-20)

Picture this: After a super fun road trip you’re sitting against the beautiful backdrop of the Quebec City Old Port in the summer sun, with an ice cold beer in hand with a couple of your closest buds. Sold.

Sherbrooke Bacon Festival (May)

Exact dates are TBA for this beloved local favourite, but the event usually goes down in May, meaning you won’t have to wait until mid-summer to get a start on your foodie road tripping!

Saguenay Beers of the World Festival (July 20-23)

Get a taste of the big wide world without having to spend adult money on a plane ticket. This international beer festival in Chicoutimi is ideal for foodies who like to explore more than whats in their own backyard.
